Two-person Michigan Lottery group wins $1 million from Powerball

In a stroke of luck, a Michigan Lottery club known as the Sandy Island Cove MLC, consisting of two individuals, secured a grand prize of $1 million in the popular Powerball game.

Their winning ticket, purchased at Northview Wine Shoppe on 21 Mile Road in Macomb, matched the five white balls drawn on October 7, with the winning numbers being 47, 54, 57, 60, and 65.

This triumph was part of a larger Powerball jackpot run that began on July 22 and concluded on October 11.

While the colossal $1.765 billion jackpot was claimed by a sole ticket holder in California, Michigan Lottery players collectively reaped more than $13 million in winnings during the course of this exciting run.

Notably, six Michigan Lottery players throughout this period won prizes of $1 million or more, adding to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the Powerball game in the state.
