Michigan Lottery group wins $1 million from Powerball

A group of individuals who formed a Michigan Lottery club, known as the Sandy Island Cove MLC lottery club, has achieved a significant victory by winning a grand prize worth $1 million in the popular Powerball game offered by the Michigan Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased by Robert Hoerauf and his anonymous partner at Northview Wine Shoppe, situated at 23015 21 Mile Road in Macomb.

The club's good fortune came from matching the five white balls in the October 7th drawing, with the winning numbers being 47-54-57-60-65.

During the Powerball jackpot run that began on July 22 and concluded on October 11, Michigan Lottery players collectively won more than $13 million in prizes.

The massive $1.765 billion jackpot was won by a single ticket purchased in California, making it the second-largest lottery jackpot ever won.

Throughout the duration of this jackpot run, six Michigan Lottery players managed to secure prizes of $1 million or more, with the Sandy Island Cove MLC lottery club being among the fortunate winners of this substantial sum.
