Two lucky residents from New York have recently become instant millionaires through the state's lottery games.

Robert Reda, hailing from Suffern, New York, struck it big by winning $9.6 million in the New York Lotto drawing on September 2nd.

Opting for a lump sum payment, he received $3,308,147 after the necessary withholdings.

On the same day, another fortunate individual, Dylan Schute from Wolcott in Wayne County, claimed a prize of $1 million from an instant game.

He won the top prize on the HGTV My Lottery Dream Home scratch-off game from the New York Lottery, with the winning ticket purchased at Bob's Supermarket on Park Lane.

After the required tax deductions, Schute received a lump sum payment of $650,212. It's worth noting that he was the last player to win a top prize in this particular game.
