How many Pokemon are there in 2023? All types & generations

The Pokémon world is home to a vast variety of creatures, each with its own unique abilities and appearance.

These creatures are known as Pokémon, and they can be found in all corners of the world.

Pokémon are divided into 18 different types, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. These types include Bug, Dark, Dragon, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Flying, Ghost, Grass, Ground, Ice, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, Steel, and Water.

Over the years, there have been nine generations of Pokémon games released, each with its own unique story and set of Pokémon to collect.

The most recent games in the series, Scarlet and Violet, were released in November 2022.

While it is possible to collect all 1008 Pokémon in the games, no single game will contain all of them.

This is because each game typically features a regional Pokédex, which is a subset of the National Pokédex that contains only the Pokémon that are available to catch in that particular region.

The Pokémon franchise is one of the most popular and successful media franchises of all time, with over 380 million video games sold worldwide. It has also spawned a variety of other media, including anime, manga, trading cards, and toys.
