$9.6 Million Lotto Jackpot and $1 Million Scratch-Off Win

Two New York residents recently became instant millionaires thanks to the state's lottery games.

In a stroke of good fortune, Robert Reda from Suffern hit the jackpot, winning a staggering $9.6 million in the New York Lotto drawing on September 2.

His ticket, purchased at Yas Quick Mart on Route 59, matched the numbers 13, 37, 40, 45, 47, and 52, with Bonus Number 09 determining the second prize. Reda opted for a lump sum payment of $3,308,147 after withholdings.

On the same day, Dylan Schute from Wayne County claimed a $1 million prize from an instant game.

He triumphed with the HGTV My Lottery Dream Home scratch-off from Bob's Supermarket on Park Lane.

After necessary tax deductions, Schute received a lump sum payment of $650,212. He was the final player to win the top prize in the game, as all top prizes for this ticket have now been claimed.

The New York Lottery's scratch-off games generated a remarkable total sales revenue of $4,406,338,198 during the fiscal year 2022-2023.
